Wooooh!! I just got back from Las Vegas last night, and oh my freaking God. I HAD SO MUCH FUN! Okay... down with the basics. My step dad moved there a month or so back, yes? Yes. He asked my mom if we could bring the birds over there, because he was getting lonely and he loved the birds. So, my mom put the birds in back with me and the cooler, my brother sat in front and my mom drove the first half of the trip [to Vegas]. Heh, I didn't wair my seatbelt the entire way, wow... I am so rebellious. *rolls eyes*
Anywho.... the drive there was freaking boring. My mom's radio sucks, and she didn't even have a CD player! Blahhhh!! So we were stuck with my mom's FOB kareoke tapes for the entire 8-9 hours. *dies*. We were listening to very very FOB songs that weren't even sung by the original singers. *cringe* Anywho... I slept some of the way, ate most of the way and just sat there. Bored. We FINALLY reach the Mojave desert, and it wasn't even hot. The rest stops, I mean. The sun was hot and a-blazing, and the humidity wasn't as bad as last last summer, the last time we went to Vegas. [Dur yeah... it's a good thing].
We reach the outskirts of Las Vegas, to the fashion outlet right next to Whiskey Pete's [hotel and casino] where my step-dad worked 20 years old by the way]. We go there, the first thing he plays is IIDX [He sucks at it though. He sucks even more than me! =X] and I head straight to the bathroom to PRESHen up. I go out, I laugh at my brother as he fails on LIGHT 7, and head to the DDR machine. Some n00b was playing it earlier but he left. Heh. So I go up, warm and stretch my legs up by playing Exotic Ethnic, So Deep and Witch Doctor--all on Maniac. Blegh.. no one was watching, so I left after one game. I go to their Guitar Freaks [version numero UNO! How fuckign ghetto] and I play with my brother for one game. He sucked, and I carried his ass. Heh heh. He couldn't even play Jazzy Cat on expert mode. =\
After that, I sat around and got bored. I was never that good at IIDX, since I NEVER PLAYED IT. Well, not really. So I go up to play.... played on Light 7, and got up to 5 difficulty songs. I was like, "Wow... I'm getting the hang of this!" So I stayed at the IIDX machine and hogged it for about an hour. There was this one Asian guy that kept circling the machine, [I think he was waiting for me to get off so he could play] but since he DIDN'T put his token up, I didn't bother getting off. [Heh, I'm so mean. ^^;]. I knew he played IIDX, too.. since he kept playing their Beatmania Complete Mix 2. Oh well.
My mom got back, yelled at me and I yelled back. I said, "LET ME FINISH THIS GAME AND I'LL EAT". So... I finished that game of IIDX, met her at the food court with my brother ther waiting and asked, "Where's Kuya Alex?" [Step dad]. She was like, "You have about an hour until he gets off work." Me: "Darnit. I could have played more." She asked me if I was hungry, I said kind of. She gave me a 10$ bill, and I went to Haagen Daz and got this Rocky Road thing. I didn't realize how much it cost, until the cashier told me. SEVEN FREAKING DOLLARS for ice cream. I was like... "Oh shit." and gave him the ten. I go back, my mom was all shocked that it was ten dollars, got kinda mad at me. I was about to sit down to eat my ice cream, but I saw this one guy with orange pants go up to play DDR. He was attempting to freestyle... if bouncing up and down and turning every five seconds is considered freestyling... and I chuckled a bit. =X. I was sitting there, had a bite of my ice cream and I was watching him. I was like, "-_-;;;;;" after a while, so I left me hardly-eaten ice cream and told my mom I wanted to play DDR.
I go up to the machine, put my token up and waited. The first song that I played was DXY, and I did a little pop and locking. THIS STUPID GUY went up to the other side of that pad WHILE I WAS PLAYING and starting mocking me. I got REALLY pissed of, so I RAMMED the guy off the machine with my body pushing my arm and intimidatingly said, "WHAT NOW, MORON." Hah. My brother started laughing and the guy just walked off. Idiot. I almost failed the song, while I was giving him an evil-ish look with my fist up in the air. Woooh! Good job on first impressions [in front of the arcade regulars] for me, eh? Heh heh. After that, I really didn't want to freestyle since that idiot might come back and try his chance on revenge, so I played Exotic Ethnic on Maniac. The guy [with the orange pants] was all amazed [heh] and came up to me after the song and said, "Why do you have to show me up like that?" Ummm... yeah... x_o After that, I played Freckles and AA'ed the song. STUPID MAX SOMETHING. I hate that song. Failed it, wah wah.
After my game, the guy went up to play another game. I asked him, "Hey, are you from around here?" Him: "Las Vegas? Yeah. Did you come here for the tournament?" Me: "What?! There's a tournament this weekend?" Him: "*wierd look* Yeah. There's a Karate tournament tommorow."
-_-;;; Was it a little too obvious that I have done martial arts before? Was it my aggressive-ness or something? And I didn't know about ANY tournament, since I quit Tae Kwon Do just last summer. Blegh. After that, I saw that my step dad was there eating pizza. Mmm. Pizza. I was getting a little hungry, so I went back. I FOUND THAT MY ICE CREAM WAS GONE BECAUSE MY MOM ATE IT and I cried. My step-dad's pizza was almost gone, too.... and I cried. We were leaving, so I couldn't get anything to eat, and cried once more. Hrm... I had some cookies in the car, though.
We get to Vegas, my mom and I debate on where I was going to stay. She had a room at some cruddy hotel in downtown Las Vegas, but I wanted to stay with my cousins instead at the Bellagio. So I did.. saw Crystal, but she was sleeping. My brother and I got bored at the luxurious and fansy hotel room, so I asked him if he wanted to walk up and down the strip with me. It was around 11. Sooo.... we walk ALL THE WAY FROM BELLAGIO to the front of the strip, first at Game works. Then to the arcade at MGM [it was closed] then to Excalibur [that was closed, too] and to New York York which was in fact, open.. and I played a game of PIU. Got a small crowd. Wheee. After that, my brother started whining because his feet hurt, so we walked back. We got back at the hotel around 2-3 AM and immediately went to sleep.
Everyone else in the room was gone by the time we woke up, and me, my brother and these two strangers were the only ones there. I was like to myself, "Where the hell is Crystal and what is that couple doing on the other bed? o_O;;;;" At first, I thought the girl was Cecille [my cousin who was getting married] and her fionce, so got a little confused because my mom told me earlier that they had a suite at Caesar's Palace. I was like... oookaaayyyy. After a few moments of ponder, I went to take a shower. Afterwards, I got really really bored because they were still sleeping and I was just standing there. So.. I grabbed the key that my brother had in his leather jacket and left. My aunt gave me a piece of paper which had the room number of my cousin, Dione. Dude, I hadn't seen her in FOREVER and she was my "best friend"--cousin. She was staying at Harrahs with her mom and a few of my other aunts. I go there, knock on the door, and Dione answers! I was like, "Dude.. I almost got lost!" She had a confused look on her face and was all, "Uhh... Hi? Who are you?" Me: "It's me! Miladel!"
She got all silent. She hadn't seen me in what... 3 years? I'll say it straight up. I was a chubby, chubby kid in between the ages of 4--13. I was 12 the last time she saw me, and I lost over 70 pounds over the three years from DDR, Tae Kwon Do and basketball. She freaking amazed. So were my aunts, too... they hardly didn't even recognize me. Dude!!! I love my aunts. They are sooo freaking funny... and one of them is a black belt in Karate, too. Hehe. They're hella cool. They told me that they already ate at the buffet [I was still hungry from the day before] and that they already went to the chapel and decorated the reception room and everything. I was like.. okaay.. and yeah. My cousin and I brought up our aunt's bags to the room at the Bellagio, because they were switching rooms for some reason. She and I went from hotel to hotel, transfering their bags from room to room. Blah. Anywho... afterwards, we went to the Imperial Palace [where my cousin was getting married] and waited. And took pictures. MANY PICTURES.
No one recognized me. Even Cecille didn't recognize me! She thought I was my brother's girlfriend or something... eww. Oh my gosh... and what was more disgusting was... my cousin Vincent, didn't recognize me either and I caught him checking me out. I was like, "WTF" but I didn't say anything. I hadn't seen him in I think.... 6 years? He's like 26, too. He also probably thought that I was just Cecille's friend or something and thought I was older. Blaaaahhhhhhh. -_-;;;
My cousin's groom was Mexican. One of the reasons they married was because he was an illegal immigrant or whatever, they were already living together and she's "in love" with him. His entire family was in Mexico, so almost everyone at the wedding were either Taiwanese or Filipino. The majority was Filipino, though... and you know what that means. A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE TALKING, CHIS-MISSING, VERY VERY VERY LOUDLY. My cousin and I were scared at our Aunty Fe. Dude.... she has such an evil, a very very LOUD and big EVIL mouth. She says whatever is on her mind.. like for example, about 6 years ago at another wedding, we were taking pictures, right? All of the cousins were together... and there were these two white kids there [spawns of friends] and my auntie Fe was like, "Hey you two! Get out of the picture, FAMILY only!" And dude.... those kids were like, 8. Damn. My aunt is scary, ne? -_-;;;;
After the wedding, THERE WAS FOOD! A buffet! Wheeeeeee. Hehe. I ate some salad, lasagna, and I forgot what else was there. I had a cheesecake afterwards, and Dione had "pasty" wannabe lemon [but is cocoanut] cake. She kept complaining all day about how she kept eating "pasty" food. I was like... duurrr, you dork. When everyone was done eating, more talking takes place. Toasts... blah blah... jokes.... talking... etc. My cousin and I got all bored, so we went out in the living-room like place, right next to the AUTOMATIC excalators [ooooh!! how technologically advanced!]. Basically, the escelators would start if you stepped on that censors. Haha... my cousin and I kept having races witht he escalators, seeing which one would stop first. But people kept using the escalators, and either she or I would cheat and step on the other person's escalator and yeah. It's hard to explain, but we were SO bored, that we were having fun. EVERY SINGLE THING was funny to us. We were walking up on the escalator that goes down, and I was like, "Hey, it's like a gym... RUN FASTER DIONE! *slaps her butt* Let's work off all the calories that we consumed today!" One of the workers told us to stop, because there were cameras... so we stopped. And right then, the escalator stopped, too... so my cousin started walking up to the top. I was evil... so I quickly zoomed down, turned the escalator on, and she almost lost her balance because she was walking the other way. lol. And during the wedding, our aunts gave us bubbles to blow as our cousin walked up the isle, right? Before that, I kept blowing them and into the hair of this one guy. He was Taiwanese, and wasn't related to me and I kept on blowing bubbles in his hair. The bubbles made a white substance on the place that in landed, too.. so it looked like he had really bad dandruff afterwards. I am so evil. =)
Dione and I walked around the hotel.. and stumbled into their very tiny, very GHETTO arcade. We got bored, so we went back up to the reception room. We played with our little cousins that were like... 2 and 4 years old. How adorable! They remind me of when I was their age. Hehe. Anywho.... everyone goes back to their hotel rooms, we give our congratulations to the bride and groom, and MORE PICTURES. Ahhhhhhhh!!! Eviiiiiil. Dione and I get back to the Bellagio, and got money from our parents. They told us to stay around that area, and the furthest we could go was Caesars Palace. Although... when they left their own way to go gambling, I was like, "Screw that. Dione, wanna go with me to MGM?" She was like, "Uhh... we're not supposed to go that far." Me: "Pffft. They only said that because they think we'll get lost. Trust me, I was here last summer and my mom and step dad left me alone by myself. I was walking up and down the Strip BY MYSELF, and truuuuuuust me. I know where we're going" [I wasn't lying, either. I am very veeeery familiar with the Strip.] So after a few moments of hesitation, she agreed to come along. [She's a year older than me, but she looks as if she was my little shorter. Heh heh. She's only 5 feet tall. =)]
But then, she said, "What will we tell our parents?" Me: "Duh. We'll lie." Her: "I can't do that!!!"
-_-;;;;
So I was like, "Well... we won't, then. If they ask [and they did], we'll say that we went to a few arcades, in which we will... roamed around, in which we will... and played games! It's that simple *evil grin*" Her: "Okay." Haha. I am such a bad influence on her. Seriously.. I feel a little bad, but hey. Umm... yeah. ^^;;
Dude. We had the GREATEST time. First, we went to the arcade in New York New York. I played a game of PIU; freestyling on doubles as I usually do. She was all, "Whoa.. how did you do that?" And I said, "I play this now and then. I used to play it everyday two summers ago, and that's partially how I lost weight". After that, I showed up some n00bs on DDR and played Afronova Maniac. Evil is me. Anywho..... we get a little bored, so I asked her if she wanted to go to MGM. She said, "Sure." So we go... I remember EXACTLY where to go, since my sense of direction and memory was being really good due to the cheesecake that I ate. [Heh heh]. We go down, and these AzN FOBS were playing DDR. They were acting as if they were hot shit, just because they could SLIDE on Bu Dam. I was like, "-_-;;;;;;" and went up after them. I played a bunch of Catastrophic songs, and they didn't really anything.
My cousin told me earlier that she had to get back by 7, because they were going back to LA that same day. We ask what time it was, and this idiot girl told us that it was 6:50. I was like.... "Uhh, are you sure? Six FIFTY???" She confirmed, and said "Yes". I was like, "Oh shit..." and we RAN back to the Bellagio. With my calculations, it took us about 30-45 minutes to walk to New York New York from the hotel. So... we fuckign RAN back. Almost alllll the way. A lot of people were giving us stares, and even a few cheered us on. lol. One guy said to my cousin, "Ooooh!! You better hurry up, or you'll lose her!". I think a few of them though that she was chasing me...? o_O;;; So yeah. We get back to the casino, right? And we look for our parents/aunties. No where. Although... we eventually found our SCARY ASS Aunty Fe, and she told us to go look at the Mirage, because they were probably there, gambling. We ask her what time it was, and she told us it was 6:30. I was like... "WHAT???" And looked at Dione. She was still panting from our run. But we laugh anyway, on our way to the Mirage. We were all laughing at that IDIOT girl who told us that it was 6:50 when it was probably 6:15. She confirmed it too, that dumb butt. And damn.. we ran that in under 15 minutes when it took us almost 45 minutes to walk that distance? Man. Basketball really IS getting me into shape. *flexes muscles* OH YEAH. hahahahaha.
We get to the Mirage, and my aunts were still gambling! They told us, "One more hour". So.... we walking to Treasure Island, and wanted to check out their arcade, since the one at the Mirage sucked as hell [at least from what I remember]. We go there, and I see someone playing DDR. I look around, and OH MY FREAKING GOSH. This really hot Asian guy was working there. *heart melts and screams like a little girl* Waaahhh!!!! So yeah... my cousin and I walk around, and saw this sticky-picture thing. All we had were quarters left [I probably had like 10 dollars in quarters]. Since the thing costs 3 dollars, so gave me a dollar fifty and MADE me ask the hot Asian guy for dollars for the machine, since it only took dollars. I went up to him, smiled, and asked if he could exchange our tokens. He was like, "Sure" and gave me three dollar bills. I got back to my cousin, we chose a background [the LEAST cheesy looking one. The rest really sucked.] and took almost a half an hour taking ONE picture, since either she or I weren't satisfied with our "dorky" poses--until the stupid machine chose for us and we were stuck with our "Super Sailor Moon Dorky Pose". After that, I couldn't find the hot asian guy, so I decided to play DDR. As I was choosing my character [on a 5th mix], the guy pops out of this shooting game that was right next to the machine and walked around once. I stalled for a bit, until he got back to the DDR machine and chose Rythmn and Police. I formed a little crowd, and after the song, the hot Asian guy clapped! Ahhhhhhhh. I played some more, freestyled a bit, and he stayed at his spot. Wooooh. But then, my cousin reminded me about the time and dragged me back to the Mirage.
We go back, found our Aunts and her mom in the same place, still gambling. They were like, "Walk around more for a bit, and come back. We'll be ready by then." My cousin and I asked them for money, so we could buy Krispey Kremes, coinciddently, back at Treasure Island. So we go, and a freaking dozen doughnuts at Krispey Kreme was 10 dollars! I was like, "WTF.." and we only bought a half a dozen. We go back to the arcade, and I see the Asian guy again. I didn't want to play DDR again, so Dione and I sat at the benches right in front of the arcade and shared one glazed doughnut. I didn't want to leave, nor I didnt' want to look desperate and go back to the arcade, so I ate my doughnut veeeery slowly. But then, we had to go... so bye bye mister hot guy! God damn! He kept walking up and down the entrance of the arcade... blah... I should have given him my number. I was thinking of getting a peice of paper, sticking one of our sticky pictures on it, writing my name, and number and giving it to him... but shyness again, conquered me. Blah, oh well. I'm going to stay alone and lonely my entire life if this keeps up. *CRY*
We go back, and we see our relatives eating at the restaurant. They told us to get in line, and they'll pay for our bill, so we did. I didn't want to eat that much, so we shared a BBQ chicken pizza [Oh my gosh.. the BEST fucking pizza that I have ever had. EVER]. There were two peices left, and we had them put in a box. It was like... 11:30 at this time, and my aunts didn't want to leave this late, so off they went to Buffalo Bill's [About a 30-40 minute drive from Las Vegas] so I said bye to everyone. My brother and I met back up into the room, and my mom called us and told us to meet her outside of the hotel so she can pick us up and take us to Fitzgerald, the hotel that she was staying in.. right next to Fremont street, the heart of Downtown Las Vegas.
We leave, get to the hotel, and leave again to check out the shows at Fremont Street. It was really cold, and I got bitter because my mom wouldn't let me walk around... so I told her to give me the key to the hotel room so I could go to sleep. She got all mad, and ignored me for a bit... but eventually, she gave in. I go back up and sleep.
That was basically it.. except for the ride back. Ugh! More painstrakingly long and dull kareoke songs. Even Tagalog ones, too. *sings* "Akuuuuuu ay PILIPINO!!! AKUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!! Ay PILIPIIIIIIIIIINO!!" Hahaha. It cracks me up sometimes.
/end of Las Vegas randomness and FUN NESS.
I missed a lot of stuff, but SO MUCH happened, that I would have to take all night just talking about it. Plus, my Internet time right now is limited... because I still have to clean, and my mom has to finish her work on the computer. Yeah.. let me try to summarize today, even though my freaking fingers are about to cramp up. [not really] Blegh.
Okay. Today, I had US History [like everyday], ENGRISH and Computer Graphics. My English teacher found this LETTER written by one of the girls with the BIGGEST mouths in the entire school [she was in leadership also.. she is very perky, and a lot of people hate her because of that]. In the letter, she was writing to her boyfriend and she was all talking about how EVERYONE in the class hated Mr. Shoemaker [our English teacher] and how he leaves like every five minutes from the class. Well... everything that she said was right, and even the people around my table crack jokes about how he goes off to smoke weed or FAP and crap. Heh. It's pretty funny, but his class is so fucking boring. And yeah, everyone hates him. Basically... all he does is tell us to write in our journal about once or twice, and for the rest of othe period, we read. THAT'S IT. And do you know what he does while we sit there, being bored? He works on plays for his football team. What a moron. -_-; The school is paying him to do nothing. That bastard.
Anywho.... Computer Graphics was a little less boring than usual. My teacher FORCED me to make a layout plan on our next assignment, and I was talking with Rachel the entire time about random crap. Pretty neat... and stuff. [Shit, my wrists are starting to hurt]. We couldn't even go on the computer that period, though... since we [or I] always slacks off and never does anything productive. But yeah!!! Next semester, we're going to get into video production and computer editing. Wheee!! I was thinking of NOT taking that class next semester, since I totalyl HATE flash, and Mr. Mejia didn't really teach us more about HTML, but when I found out about that whole video production stuff, I got excited again about that class and immediately signed up. =)
After that class, I stuck around the room for a bit and went online. Went to DDR Freak, got a private message by some guy. Replied. After that, I got a little hungry, so I left and bought myself some chips. I went by my group of friends, slapped Lorraine on the butt, and ran downstairs to my Art room so I could discuss my grade in the class with our teacher. My painting wasn't even HALF done, but he was like, "Wow.. you are such a neat painter". Then, I asked him about my grade [he was supposed to grade my painting] and he just straight up told me that I had a strong A. Wheeeee! Hehe.
After that, I realized that I had practice at 3:15! And since I didn't have a next class, I decided to go home and take a shower first, and run back to school. So I did... I left around 3 o'clock [It takes me 45 minutes to WALK to school from my house] and again, SPRINTED to practice... wooh.... I was a minute early, go me. Practice today was okay. We worked on our plays, since our first SEASON game is tommorow. Yay! And we get to play one of the best teams in our district, NOTRE DAME! Wow. And our team sucks, I don't know how we could pull this off. I heard that the girls of Notre Dame were super duper fast, so blegh. After practice, I decided to sprint home instead of walking/taking the bus, to ready myself for tommoro's big game.
And now here I am. *cracks fingers and stretches wrists* Damnit! I'm tired. And hungry.
Later.
